Hulen L. Jackson (1913–1997)

Gospel preacher listed in Preachers of Today, Vol. 1, 1952, 176. Minister and former Abilene Christian University trustee.
Jackson attended Abilene before graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma University in 1935. He worked with churches in Texas and Oklahoma and was honored by ACU in 1987 as one of the first Senior Servants, a group of Dallas-area ministers who have been preaching for more than 50 years. At that same time the Hulen L. Jackson Endowment in ACUs college of biblical studies was established to educate young preachers. In addition to preaching for his home congregations, Jackson also spoke at gospel meetings and lectureships across the United States. He wrote for several publications and authored many books. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Tempe Hatter; a son, Foy Oliver Jackson; and several grandchildren. -- Duncanville, Texas, Gospel Advocate, March, 1998, page 45.
