Bilahari Kausikan

Bilahari Kausikan is an Ambassador-at-Large in the Ministry of Foreign Affair (MFA), Singapore. Born in 1954, he attended Raffles Institution, the University of Singapore and Columbia University in New York. Kausikan joined the Singapore Foreign Service in 1981. After a posting to Washington DC, he visa mer held a variety of appointments in the MFA focusing on Southeast Asia and East Asia. He was Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 1994 to 1995 and the Permanent Representative to the Russian Federation from 1994 to 1995 and the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York from 1995 to 1998. From 2001 to May 2013, he was the Second Permanent Secretary and subsequently the Permanent Secretary of MFA. He retired from the public sector in June 2013. Kausikan has received the Public Administration Medal (Gold) and the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Meritorious Service Medal) from the Singapore government, the Order of Bernardo O'Higgins with the rank of Cran Cruz by the President of the Republic of Chile and the Oman Civil Merit Order by the Sultan of Oman. visa färre
