The first chapter reveals Peter's motive behind the kidnapping. From then on, James swears to rescue the children. The story looks into the darker side of how Neverland's time works and the consequences of kidnapping children. The story feels rushed, but is a good retelling of Peter Pan.

Sleeping Beauty meet the genie of Hades...or Paradise?
In the most creative sleeping beauty retelling I've read, Princess Aurelia pricks her finger on purpose, sending herself to the dream world of the djinni with a way back for her and her brother. She's hoping, or course, that she can solve the mystery and rescue her entire kingdom. What she hadn't counted on was finding a beautiful dream world and the man she once loved, both reasons she might never want to leave.
This story gets major points for its creativity. I've never read anything quite like it. Princess Aurelia at almost 18 years old, is also quite a delight. Her confidence that she can help, her take charge attitude (even when she realized she might be slightly less useful than she'd hoped) is wonderful. I have a lot less sympathy for her 14-year-old self. Granted, she did have a lot on her plate, but falling in love with the strong carpenter who worked in her rooms struck me as a bit foolish on all sides. Where were the people who should have been protecting her? How much older than her was he? So many questions.
The romance is sweet, and the care for kingdom and family is strong, as is the desire to do the right thing--the best thing for everyone.
