There is not much on setting up an aquarium for native fish. YThis author does a clear and thorough job covering the essentials, practical advice, and he covers many native plants and native fish.

The book is well organized, has very goos illustrations, and very good descriptions of the plants and fish it covers.

Each covered fish has an included native range map. Light,, temperature, and current preferences of each species is presented.

Food choices are discussed, both on a geneeral level, and for each type of fish.

In my opinion, this is the best reference for enthusiasts of North American native fish aquariums.… (mer)
