I picked this up at a used bookstore in Auckland; I was curious to learn more about Maori culture and customs. This was written as a guide for Pakeha (white New Zealanders) visiting the Maori meeting grounds. It was written in 2004, and the author was interesting character (I looked him up on line) a former rugby player, educator and a Race Relations Concilatator in New Zealand. He died in 2018 at age 91.

The book was useful to me, and answered some of the questions I had. It probably would not be really interesting to read if you didn't already have questions, however.
