Just thought I would post so all you paranormal lovers out there know that the second season of True Blood the series based on Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series is set to begin on June 14. I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen this season!

I haven't seen the series, but I did see one random episode.....seems like the episode I watched had nothing to do with the book.
What do you guys think - how true is the show to the books? Is it a good series? If so, should I try not to think about the books while watching the series?

I watched the whole season last year and really enjoyed it, although it is definately not for children or teens as there is alot of nudeity in it. I did find how ever that the show was very true to the first novel in the series granted they did take a few liberties here and there.
It's kinda hard not to think of the books while watching the show, but I think it's like that with anything that is based on a novel.
I do recommend the show it's highly entertaining and addictive and the guys are totally hot. You should definately give it a try!

series one just hit UK TV! It started a few weeks ago and I am loving it. I can not remember why I didn't get into the books at all! Must pick them up again!

Apart from Being Human - which is filmed local to us and around my husbands works, Defying Gravity and Moonlight that's all we come across unless we pay for Sky. A few other treats now and then, but I tend to buy DVD series or borrow them off my cousins in Boston, whenever they take pity on me.

#8 - I'm not sure if you have ever seen Supernatural but it's an excellent show! If you have seen it what do you think of season 5 so far? and if not you really should try to get your hands on the DVD seasons, it's too good to miss!

Box set received for Christmas last year. But we have been working through so many others as well, Doll House, Dresden, Battlestar, Spaced, Black Books & Blackadder. Supernatural shall be opened up soon. Watched S1 religiously, but TV over here is crap and they can not show things in order to save their lives. Oh and Big Bang Theory.
