This is the second Imponderables book by David Feldman that I have read. It is interesting and informative, without being to long-winded on any particular subject. There did not seem to be as many questions that I said "Yeah, why is that?" as in Why Do Clocks Run Clock-wise, and the letters section was a waste of paper in my opion, but it was a good read anyway. (

Honestly, this Imponderables book disappointed me. There were a lot of interesting questions, but they good things about the book were dwarfed by the abundance of completely unnessecery detail and history. With the majority of the questions, the answers contained backstory and history and details that were barely related to the question at all, and certainly weren't needed to answer the question. Sometimes this unnessecery rambling went on for two or three pages!

Also, multiple times during the book there is reference to a "finally included" "master index" of all the Imponderables books, at the back of this book. ...... Either this is a joke I just don't understand, or someone in the printing process messed up, because there is no "master index" in my copy. (

)
