In the third book of The Fancy Lives of the Lear Sisters trilogy, a dreamy, sheltered heiress finds herself thrust into the real world, never imagining that a cold dose of reality holds the key to her happily ever after. Rachel Lear lives in a dream world with her head in the clouds -- and it's starting to show. There's the dissertation she can't quite finish, the ex-boyfriend whom she has yet to kick to the curb, and those pesky twenty pounds she keeps meaning to lose. But when her overbearing father finally runs out of patience and cuts her off from the family fortune, Rachel finds herself thrust into the real world. She never could have guessed that's where she would finally meet a knight in shining armor... Handsome, charming, and with an English accent to boot, Flynn Oliver is exactly like the heroes Rachel reads about in romance novels. A man that sexy could have any woman he wants -- but he only has eyes for Rachel. There's just one catch: Flynn isn't a fairy-tale prince. He's a real man, with real secrets. Secrets that could destroy Rachel's dreams -- or give her the perfect ending after all.… (mer)

Well, I was glad to see that Aaron finally got his head on straight, but other than that, I didn't particularly care for this book. Something in this book make me not like Bonnie very much, while in the first two books, I got the impression that the whole debacle was Aaron's fault. Bonnie was way too self-righteous in this book.

And the main characters? All three of the Lear daughters were spoiled brats, but Rachel was my least favorite. She's all about being nice to everyone, so that was a point in her favor, but she had no backbone and no desire to get one. She was just very annoying, and she was surrounded by annoying people.

I'm not sure if I liked Flynn or not. He was stuck in the typical undercover-cop-falls-for-suspect trap, but that wasn't what bugged me. I guess I'm too much into the "happily ever after" type of romances, but cheating bugs me. Okay, he didn't really cheat, but he sure didn't have a problem with getting up close and personal with another woman - until Rachel busted him.

This was definitely my least favorite of the trilogy. I'm glad it's over. I'd hate to see it get worse. ( )

Fun, humorous, romantic, sexy ... this is a good book to sit down with if you're looking for a nice, light-hearted read. ( )

Lastly, we have "Miss Fortune", probably my least favorite in the series. This novel revolves around Rachel Lear, a carefree student with a big heart and even bigger ambitions. Her biggest problem is a nasty habit of letting people walk all over her. As a result of this she is flat broke. To make matters worse, a tree has fallen on her house and partially across her neighbors fence, causing a broken window and a lawsuit.

Rachel curses the world while her ex-boyfriend keeps showing up at her house uninvited and her best friend Dagne keeps convincing her to try some white magic as a way to change her luck. Rachel jokingly wishes for true love with a hot man with an accent.

Low and behold Flynn Oliver shows up in her life. He is a temporary transplant from England, Stateside working as a computer programmer. He has his eyes on Rachel from the moment he meets her, but she finds the situation more than a little bit curious.

When a rash of art thefts plagues the city Rachel finds out that not everyone, or everything is as it seems to be.

This novel wraps up the series in a nice little bow. I highly recommend the series. ( )

From BackCover:
One practical father’s wishes for his three fanciful daughters make for a captivating trilogy by Julia London, author of Beauty Queen and Material Girl, which was praised as "simply irresistible...a polished gem." (Suzanne Coleburn, ReaderToReader.com) Now, the last Lear sister is forced to get her head out of the clouds—and her feet on the ground...

Rachel is the baby of the Lear family—the dreamer, the one who always has her nose in a romance novel, likes yoga and astrology and counts Ben & Jerry among her closest friends. When her father cuts her off in an effort to launch her into the real world, Rachel is forced to concoct a plan, including losing a few pounds, getting a job...and with the help of her best friend, a witch, conjuring up a knight in shining armor complete with a British accent and a James Bond look.

Suddenly fate starts putting Flynn Oliver in Rachel’s path. Handsome and charming, he’s like the romance heroes she’s always read about. Rachel can’t believe her luck. Flynn seems like a dream come true...until a series of crimes reveals the real Flynn Oliver—and startles Rachel from her dream of happily ever after....
