And I adore all her little taboo treats, so when there's a new one, I've got to jump right on it, with both feet. Aiden is just about to start a new job and is in college. His professor, Vaughn, is super hot and wants Aiden for his TA. Aiden's boss, Vale, is equally as hot and wants him to be her employee. But that's not all they want them for, nor is it all he wants them for. Vaughn and Vale want everything, and Aiden is everything. Completely great story. After reading Aiden's twin's story, I really wanted Aiden to be happy. He really deserved to be happy. Vaughn and Vale are a great new addition to the Taboo Town world, and I really like them. I think that they are so good for Aiden. I loved this one, and I think it's high time that we get a story for Dane. Find this review and others at Carlene Inspired. For being a taboo treat, The Glue certainly had a lot of heart to balance out the smut in it. More than just a story of sex and lust, The Glue explores the feelings a young man, a wife, and a husband have that leave them questioning their futures and struggling with right and wrong. Aiden is young, faced with a choice between women and men, and uncomfortable with defining his choice in partner. At just 18 he's struggling to focus on college, desperate to succeed in his job at a small coffee shop turned bakery, and hiding the feelings he's got for both his professor and his boss. He's incredibly vulnerable, especially once he gives in to the feelings he has for Vale and Vaughn, the objects of his fantasy and unbeknownst to him, married to one another. Vale is sweet, a bit shy, and has become a shell of her once bright and happy self. Vaughn is handsome in that rough sort of way, a take charge kind of guy, except he can't seem to control his falling apart home life. Aiden seems like a perfect distraction to each, that is until they discover they've both been lusting after the same man. What could have ended a marriage ultimately brings it together, but Aiden has to face the facts, he's the third in a marriage, he may be holding it together today, but they could choose to move on from him tomorrow. "Am I always destined to be a third wheel? Always caught somewhere between this and that? Never deciding between being with a man or a woman?" I loved the characters in this, there were so many emotions rolling around in this book and I think K. Webster tackled several difficult subjects very well. Aiden struggles with defining his sexual interests, Vale and Vaughn struggle with infidelity, and together they must all tackle society's expectations regarding relationships. I found myself super attached to the story, loving the various perspectives we were given, and really appreciated the serious discussions the main characters had with secondary characters. And yes, it was a little bit sexy, of course it was. For its short length, The Glue is a passionate story of romance, perspectives, and choosing love despite judgements cast by others. I'm a fixer. A lover. Always searching for the right fit. And I come up empty every time. My desires are unusual. I don't feel whole until I'm in the middle, holding it all together. Which makes having a romantic relationship really difficult. Until them. Two people. An unraveling marriage. Love on the rocks. And they want me. To put them back together again. Problem is, once they're fixed, where does that leave me? I sure as hell hope I stick like glue. Contains mature themes. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |

Sexy, very hot dirty-talk, emotional characters and a great mesh of previous character of other books in the series; everyone is connected somehow and each novella-novelette features a relationship. Almost all the relationships are May/December (or more like March/September (18-19/35-40). The general tropes are babysitter/single dad, son's girlfriend/boyfriends father, injured student/physical therapist, Divorcee/handyman(boy), Judge/abused woman, Track Coach/Student Athlete, Employer/Professor/Employee-Student. Dad's best friend/Dad's barely legal daughter, Town Sheriff/wild child teenager. All end in a HEA with marriage and babies.
You don't need to read them in order to enjoy the book.
