The couple from book 1 do feature in this book as events from that story carry on in this one though each book has a different couple, there is a main enemy storyline thread that runs through the series.
The couple have a mark on their hand that identifies their mate.
The Hero feeds and has sex with others before meeting the heroine.
After he takes her to his home and has a level of intimacy with her, for her protection he goes to feed of others.
He also has a woman he has been in a relationship with that he is under contract to marry and he is trying to work out how to keep his mate and his new wife.
He intends the marriage to be in name only but he has not told his mate about the arrangement.
Ex drama. Though no intimacy with her.
Excellent secondary characters, esp his brother.
