Closer to home is a collection of essays with a focus in Bi feminism. Coming from different authors, the book includes a variety of perspectives as they intersect at times with race and class. Although I did not agree with all authors all the time, the book provided wonderful ideas and insight that can inform readers feminist praxis. Due to it being published in the 1990s, there have been aome advances that do make some sections less relevant to today, but are good for historical insight. A notable example being the identity of "Bisexual Lesbian", which is largely non-existent today, and the existence of a "Febfem" identity today for many in place of the older "Bisexual Lesbian". Overall, a great book on bisexuality and feminism. ( ) inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

In this dynamic anthology of 22 essays by and about women who are bisexual, the unifying element is its focus on the crucial intersections between ideology and reality. Deeply reasoned and passionately felt, the essays speak to many who wonder where they fit in today's society and its sexual politics. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
