Well-drawn characters and an interesting plot, with a unique link to ancient Egypt. The writing is occasionally awkward in its transitions between the cats' point of view and a more omniscient human point of view. Click here to read my entire review Mati, last of the ancient Tygrine line of cats, flees his homeland after his mother's death. In England, he falls in with the feral cats of the Cressida Market. He eventually earns their trust, while learning more about his own mysterious powers. When a rival tribe's assassin follows Mati, the Cressida cats join him in battle, but in the end he must use his powers to save the world's cats. This premise, similar to Erin Hunter's Warriors series in many ways, makes for an interesting read for cat lovers. The characters are not as fully developed as they might be, and the plot does not rise to excellence. The author has created an interesting mythology based on ancient legend surrounding cats, but its injection into the story feels clumsy at times. Pick up this book if you love cats and are fascinated by the premise -- otherwise, pass it up for a more skillfully written book. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

I really liked this story of a cat and how they regard humanity. It was a good read. ( )
