Woodbridge N. FERRIS (1853–1928)

I'm a graduate of Ferris State University, so suffice it to say that this book written by the school's founder over eighty years ago was more than just a disappointment. It was an embarrassment. I know the style is archaic, but more than that, it was wooden and dull. While there are a few isolated pearls of wisdom to be found here and there, by and large the author came across as a pompous, righteous old windbag. Sorry, but this book should have stayed tucked away in a dark archive - forever! Of only marginal value for its Michigan historical significance or as a shelf decoration/souvenir.… (mer)
