This is the catalogue for The 2nd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2002, which featured the work of over 37 artists from across Asia. The exhibition was held from March 21 - June 23, 2002.

The theme, 'Imagined Workshop / Kataru Te, Musubu Te', suggests a re-examination of handmade work, as well as the potential for collaboration, in the the future of contemporary art making in both hand-made and new media art.

The principal of the exhibition has to do with each individual work and the social context behind them. Collaborative works generates shared sensibilities which bring together the group exhibition with the factors of history, local society, and tradition.
