I really should read some of my older BC books registered by others. However, for June, I'm going to concentrate on the Canada 150 part of my challenge and read Canadian books to register and release.

Haha! My newest goal is to cull books from my overgrown book collection. Tonight I've chosen some books that I want to move out into my Little Free Library of Twinbrook (#7720) unread. I'll never have a chance to read all of the unread books which remain in my home even if I live a healthy and long life. :)

My second goal is to finish the book Every Man Dies Alone by Hans Fallada. This book has been a great read but it has taken me an extraordinarily long time to read through it. The plot is complicated because of many characters. Fortunately the chapters are short, and I took notes while reading it to keep the plot straight. I should finish this book within a week. I started it in April of this year.

As I said in the May Goals thread I am going to repeat my goal to read 1 ABC book and 1 book registered in 2009.

I think 2 ABC's for me. And maybe 1 of my own. Plus a bookring book too!

Plans for June: read 3 ABC from 2016.
6 1001 books to help me with an ambitious target of reaching 700 read this year.
I also plan to read at least 2 books entered on this site before last year.

We're almost at the end of the month! How is everyone doing with their goals?

I finished two books for my Canada 150 challenge: Rick Blechta's Roses for a Diva and Margaret Laurence's The Stone Angel. I'm currently working on Paper Shadows by Wayson Choy, which fits my Canada 150 challenge is also an ABC book.

I have read my 1 ABC book and my 1 2009 registered book so I've met my goal. Now I have to think about my July goal.

Plans for June:
I did well - resisting those new books that I just had to have! Add in some long train journeys and a bit of half term and you get great reading conditions!

Read 3 ABC from 2016 - got 6 read due to a couple of trips to my parents' and long journeys.

8 1001 books read.

I also read more than 2 books that had been registered here, but not on bookcrossing.
I have been good at releasing - there is a bookshelf at a train station that I go to to see my parents. I have had a few catches and also picked up some books to register, read and release.

>8 gypsysmom: >9 soffitta1: >10 Nataliec7: >11 SqueakyChu: Belated congratulations to all of you. I'm sorry that I didn't visit this forum much in July. I was totally absorbed in reading from my Hugo Awards Voter Packet and ended up neglecting my BC reading. I need to get back to those ABC books!
