Woo, it's been a long time since I've been around on this group! I was poking around on LibraryThing, and had fond memories of tracking a year's reading progress here. I've still been reading in the meantime, just tracking it on Goodreads and (more recently) Storygraph. I really like Storygraph's mojo -- especially as an alternative to GR.

I track things a little differently when I track here. Previously, I was trying to whittle down my collection, because I had quite a lot of books that have traveled around the world with me, and still are unread. And, to be honest, I still have a lot of books that I've had for a many years that I haven't opened. I'm not a big re-reader, and I'm trying to make space for new books in my life. So I like keeping track of the number of inches I clear (or add) as books come in and out of my home.

I'm also in the process of trying to get my library all in one place, and have my LibraryThing actually reflect the books I own, rather than books I used to own and have gotten rid of, etc. So again -- making room for the books I truly love, rather than ones I've just had forever.

Here I go!

Enjoy your reading! I hadn't heard of Storygraph, might take a look, although as LT does everything I need I probably won't join. Probably (!). I'm not a big fan of GR, I've always found the site too visually busy.
